Water Balance

Why 1.5 litres* of water a day? Just one small calculation and you have the answer!

Water represents 60% of our body weight for an adult and is a vital nutrient for maintaining its functions. Everyday our body loses a 2.5l* of water though urine, breathing, sweat and faeces !

For our body to function properly, we must compensate this water loss with 2.5l* intake of water in order to maintain the water balance**.
